This will be the 4th annual MJL Academy.
We are now signing up for our first and second sessions in March 2019. The 1st session will be held March 17-20, 2019. The second session will be held March 20 - 23, 2019. Cost is $1,275. $600 deposit to book. 13 trappers per session. The past 3 years all sessions each year have been booked solid.

Professional Predator Trapping Academy being held on 10,000 acres located in PRIME coyote country near Cunningham, Kansas. Academy will be 3 days of action packed, in-the-field, predator trapping instruction by two of America’s top predator trappers!
This Academy is designed to maximize the learning experience.
You'll receive a in-the-field instruction from two of the top trappers in the business PLUS you'll also set your own traps each day. The best way to learn is by doing and this course is crammed full of knowledge that you'll put to the test with your own sets in coyote rich southern Kansas.

Mark June - Texas
A biologist by education, Mark is well known for being able to pile up incredible catches of coyotes and bobcats in multiple regions across the nation. Originally from Michigan, he has honed his skills during a trapping career that includes trapping predators in many different states, being involved in multiple coyote research projects, being an instructor at Fur Takers Trappers College, producing market leading lures and baits for thirty four years, as well as authoring state of the art predator trapping books and DVDs.
Rusty Johnson - Georiga
The owner of a full time nuisance control business, Rusty is one of the best in the nation when it comes to securing coyote and bobcat control work and charging for his services. His reputation, built over many years, is founded on being able to identify the animal(s) responsible for the predation and catching them. He has trapped many states ranging from the heartland to the southeast regions of America and is especially talented at running mixed species trap lines. He also has superior skills in the area of lure and bait formulation.

Where we hold the Academy
Professional Predator Trapping Academy is being held on 10,000 acres located in PRIME coyote country near Cunningham, Kansas.The terrain is varied habitats consisting of grasslands, agriculture, and small woodlots, all of which is loaded with predators... a super area allowing us to show you how to quickly and efficiently trap coyotes and bobcats in your area.
Academy Details
Room and board will be provided for 13 students, all of whom will use their own gear to set and check traps for coyotes and bobcats. This one of a kind course, taught by two of Americas top predator trappers will be intense and fast paced, with field and bunkhouse instruction designed with one thing in mind; Show you methods to drastically increase your predator catch no matter where you live. Make no mistake, this course with its small number of participants has been designed with nothing left out, no expense spared, with instruction that is second to none!
Cost: $1275 includes room and board. A $600 deposit will reserve your spot with final payment due Feb. 1, 2019.
Accommodations: The bunkhouse lodging allows all attendees and instructors to eat, sleep, and talk trapping during the entire three days. Prior to the course, all attendees will receive an info packet on what to bring, etc. Transportation on the trap line will be provided.
Trapping License: A license is not needed to trap animals during the course.
Airport: Wichita is the closest major airport.
